Three Writing Tools, One Everyday Pen

Whether you are updating a planner, reviewing documents or taking class notes, the VICUNA 2+1 keeps three useful writing functions together without needing to reach for another pen.

Refills and Lead Compatibility

Use KAXES7 ballpoint refills when replacing the ink components, and 0.5mm mechanical pencil lead for the pencil function. Check the refill model before ordering replacements; a matching tip size alone does not confirm compatibility.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does 2+1 mean?

It means two ballpoint writing functions, black and red, plus one mechanical pencil function in the same pen.

Are black and red separate ink colour options?

No. This multifunction pen has both black and red ballpoint ink functions built into the same writing instrument.

What are the ballpoint and pencil sizes?

Both ballpoint functions have a 0.7mm tip. The mechanical pencil uses 0.5mm lead. Ballpoint tip size does not guarantee an exact written line width.

How do I select a writing function?

Use the twist-selection mechanism to select the black ballpoint, red ballpoint or mechanical pencil function.

Which replacement ballpoint refill does this pen use?

The original ballpoint refill model is Pentel KAXES7. Match this model when purchasing replacement refills.

What lead size should I use for the mechanical pencil?

Use 0.5mm mechanical pencil lead. The pencil lead size is different from the 0.7mm ballpoint tip size.

Is this listing for a complete pen or replacement refills?

This listing is for the Pentel VICUNA 2+1 multifunction writing instrument, not a refill-only pack.
